Our Practice Philosophy

North Phoenix Pediatric Dentist | Pediatric Dental Practice

We are a pediatric dental practice devoted to your child. Our goal is to have your child look forward to their dental visits and never experience the "dread of going to the dentist".  We think there is an even better approach to dental care for your child and that is prevention.

Cavities are absolutely preventable. Tooth decay is the  most common childhood disease, and with your help we can avoid the expense and fear that is associated with restoring teeth. Remember that cavities can only happen if there is bacteria and a source of sugar. If you can interrupt this process, you can avoid the cost and aggrevation associated with repairing this damage.

The American Academy Of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that all children see a pediatric dentist within six months of the eruption of the first tooth or by age one. This early examination along with following our advice will help  protect your child’s teeth from the damage of tooth decay. The goal of our office is to have your child say  “Look At Me, I’m Cavity Free”.

High Standards

A standard of excellence in personalized dental care enables us to provide the quality dental services our patients deserve.  We provide comprehensive treatment planning and use restorative and cosmetic dentistry to achieve optimal dental health.  Should a dental emergency occur, we make every effort to see and care for your child as soon as possible.

Education & Prevention

As a practice, Dr. Rick Meyers and his staff are true believers that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health.  We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”.  That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your child's teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking any necessary x-rays.  We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease.  Not only is Dr. Rick focused on the beauty of your child's smile, we’re also concerned about their overall health.  A review of their medical history can help us stay informed of their overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact their dental health.

Uncompromising Safety

Infection control at wee care dental is also very important to us.  To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Training & Expertise

As your child's pediatric dentist, we want you to be confident knowing that we are an office that has as its main goal to provide the best care and experience for your child. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your child's smile healthy.  To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning.  We attend dental lectures, meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care.  Also, being members of various professional dental associations, which include; The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD),  The American Dental Association ADA), The Arizona Dental Association (AzDA), The Arizona  Academy of  Pediatric Dentistry (AzAPD), The Central Arizona Dental Association (CADS),  which helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

A Positive Experience

Building a foundation of trust by treating our patients as special individuals is vital to our success.  We understand how uneasy some children are with any new experience, let alone the so called "dreaded visit to the dentist. We know that first impressions are lasting ones, and your child's first dental experience needs to be a positive one (That's where we excel). Our entire team is dedicated to providing your child with a pleasant experience; we work at their pace as we want to gain their trust and confidence. Some kids allow us to complete all the necessary treatment each visit and some require more time to get comfortable with what we need to accomplish. We let them set the pace, just remember our goal is for your child to never "dread" going to the dentist only to "dread" getting a cavity. We truly believe if you follow our advice your child can truly be cavity free.

We thank you for trusting us to take care of your child's dental needs and look forward to serving you.

Make an appointment today…..we’ll give you and your child a reason to smile!
